Resolutes have a deep sound. Their diversity comes from a vintage country
foundation, a keen sense of blues, and songwriting skills that catch the ear of
even the most hardcore folk fans. Coming from rural Nova Scotia origins, and
currently working the Halifax roots music scene- their sophomore album “Broken
Down Horse” was released by Let's Riot! Music in 2013.
Bringin' that sultry sound
home, Torero is an up and coming rock and roll band from Toronto blending
elements of country westerns and roots rock. Twangy guitars, thumpin bass, a
slick groove, and the kind of give-it-your-all vocals that gets your heart
pumpin - Torero brings their audience a powerful live show. Expect to see
Torero make waves this year with their unique brand of roots rock.
Brendan J Stephens and
Willow Walker are 1920s blues singers in the flesh. Hitchhiking between raucous
house shows, rowdy bars and busking everywhere in between, they have crafted a
way of singing both their own material and songs near one hundred years old in
a way entirely their own.

Dirt Skinners rule breaking individuality has led to them being the first band
in history to succeed at both the British Blues Awards (WINNER -

Rainbow Bistro.
Produced by frontman, Jon Knight, this self-titled release, “Soulstack” (2015) was recorded ‘LIVE Off the Floor’ onto a vintage 2” analogue tape machine at Canterbury Music Company (Toronto). Six men in a room recording direct to tape - Now this is Old School!
There is nothing ‘old’ about
these ten new songs, however, as this release follows the band’s other
innovative and critically acclaimed releases; “Five Finger Discount” (2013),
and Big Red” (2012), and is just one of two projects that the prolific band
will release this year; A ‘Live Acoustic’ DVD/Blu-ray will also be released
later this summer.

guitarist and vocalist Bobby Thompson is no stranger to the blues and rock
world. He cut his teeth learning to play in the old blues clubs of D.C.
from the likes of Bobby Parker. After honing his craft as a much sought
after support man, Thompson decided to step out as a solo artist, releasing
three albums since 2011. A recent review from Roots Music Report claims
Thompson’s songs portray "muscular blues- and soul-rock strong on soulful
vocals and cut-above-the-norm originals." With his smooth, gripping
vocal stylings and his perfect musical taste on anything with a string,
Thompson is what’s referred to as a “musician’s musician. Considered a “must
see” act of the Northeast region, Bobby was nominated for the D.C area Musician
of the Year award in 2015.

is his latest collaboration with New Orleans groove master Jeff Mills and
