From the
prairies of Saskatchewan to the stages of the world, sharing his talent with
some of the greatest and most influential musicians of all time, Colin
James has quietly and steadily established himself as one of Canada's
greatest musicians.
For his 18th
album, “Blue Highways”, Colin pays tribute to some of his
long-time blues idols including Howlin’ Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Freddie
King, Jr. Wells & Buddy Guy, Peter Green, Robert
Johnson and William Bell, to name a few. In the spring of
2015 after wrapping up his Hearts on Fire Tour, Colin was loving playing with
his band and very happy with the sound they had created on stage. What better
time to make a record! Especially the record Colin had been itching to make for
years – a collection of some of his favourite blues tracks. In less than a week
Colin was recording in The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver and in just two
days, “Blue Highways” was born.
January 17th

their exploits, these storytellers have lived so much, they reveal chapters of
their hard-won wisdom slowly, carefully, like layers peeled from an onion.
Ray
Bonneville didn't even open his storybook until his early 40s, some 20 years
after he started performing. But with a style that sometimes draws comparisons

Ana, born in Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), grew up in a family where music was very important. All throughout her youth, her father would invite friends over for nightly jam sessions. In this atmosphere, she quickly learned her father’s impressive blues and soul record collection, grabbed his guitar and started playing at the age of fifteen. Since then, Ana has developed into an phenomenal guitarist/vocalist with a growing legion of fans throughout the world.
Ana and her powerful band are tirelessly touring, playing major blues, jazz and rock festivals.
L.A. based, Belgrade born guitar-player and singer Ana Popovic is back on the road promoting her new triple album “Trilogy” - her most ambitious project yet.
With “Trilogy” Ana releases three albums in one! Twenty-three funk, rock/blues and jazz tunes produced by Grammy Award winner Warren Riker (Lauryn Hill, Carlos Santana), Grammy Award winner Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy) and Delfeayo Marsalis, one of the top trombonists, composers and producers in jazz today. Guest appearances include Joe Bonamassa, Robert Randolph and many others.
